Terms and Conditions

Booking and Cancellations

Payment is due in full at the time of booking. All bookings are non-refundable. We do offer rescheduling of the same trip up to 90 days in advance.

A minimum of six passengers is required for each sailing. Vessels not filled by the minimum number will be rescheduled. Passengers will be contacted to arrange an alternate date and/or time to travel.

Lundy Diving reserves the right to move your booking time or date due to operational needs and/or other company commitments.

We will perform all reasonable measures to ensure Lundy Diving operates. However, we reserve the right, in our absolute discretion, whether for safety reasons or otherwise, and with or without prior notice, to cancel any cruise. In the event of such cancellation, Lundy Diving will fully refund the cost of the cancelled trip, but shall otherwise have no liability whatsoever, including liability for travel expenses or any other expenses, in respect of the cancellation.

We aim to cancel trips over 24 hours before sailing time. However, if the weather forecast changes after this point we will still cancel, as safety is of the utmost importance.

Due to the nature of the business, departure times cannot be guaranteed; however, every effort will be made to keep on schedule. Please be aware that if you miss your scheduled departure, you will not be eligible for an alternative booking or refund.

Lundy Diving reserves the right to change the vessel according to operational need. This will not affect passenger numbers or experience.

Lundy Diving cannot guarantee landing on Lundy Island due to conditions at the jetty.

Swim with Seals

Being based in the Bristol Channel, we experience a large tidal range, meaning passengers are likely to be required to use the secure ladder at Lundy Island to embark and disembark. If you have any queries, please contact us prior to booking. By booking online you are confirming that your party is aware of and capable of climbing up and down a ladder.

Customers must be able to swim and be confident in the water. By booking online you are confirming that all members of your party are aware of and capable of swimming in open water.

Poor behaviour towards marine life will not be tolerated and you will be asked to remove yourself from the water.

Liability

North Devon District Council (NDDC) owns and maintains Ilfracombe Pier and harbour area. Lundy Diving shall not be liable to any passenger whilst on the pier or its landings.

The decision to sail and the consequences of doing so are entirely at the passenger's own risk. Lundy Diving does not accept any liability for personal injury, injury to others, or loss or damage.

Lundy Diving advises you NOT to travel if you have any historical or current back/backbone conditions or complaints. The open sea is an ever-changing environment and the vessel may be subject to unpredictable movements. We are not medical experts and are unable to assess every situation individually; we simply advise that you do not travel with us if this applies. Please consult your GP for advice if concerned.
